I’M ASHLEY
My journey with photography came after many years as an artist, creative, and maker.
With a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Fine Arts in hand, our little family relocated to Georgia soon after my son was born. I found myself dabbling in many different creative fields over the years, from traditional portraiture art, to painting, sewing, and more. It wasn’t until the covid years that I truly discovered my passion for photography, and how it helped me process how fleeting time can be.
As a mother, I’m always a puddle when an old photo or video clip surfaces from the baby days. Where did the time go? Would I have remembered these moments without that cellphone clip or would it have disappeared forever? I decided then to live every day with a “these are the days” mentality and not rely on memory, but intentionally document & savor the little moments in my own home.
My first film project followed the story of my two children and their very special bond. It was a day in the life; nothing too technical or fancy. I still remember working through the edit, crying big tears, and knowing in my heart that this was the work I was meant to do.

There’s so much love in the everyday and so much sweetness in the little moments. It’s something I’ve only become more passionate about over time and is the driving force behind my work.
